I am a highly qualified and experienced Mathematician (Spec.: Applied and Engineering Maths) and Chemist with Mensa, and PVG membership. I have received the 'best mathematician' award at the University twice, as well as Merit for scientific and research activities. Currently working in a British International School as a Maths and STEM (Science-Technology-Engineering-Maths) teacher. I have over 15 years of experience working with students of all ages and abilities, including middle and high school mathematics, college/university mathematics, all undergraduate and engineering mathematics (especially calculus, functions, derivatives, integrations, algebra, linear algebra, geometry, etc.), and advanced topics.
My initial approach is to assess the student's knowledge and understanding. If there are any areas of difficulty or problems, I prioritize addressing those first. I also try to relate concepts to experiences the student has had to help them see things in a different light.
I am a relaxed and friendly person who has employed various study techniques myself, which I hope to pass on to other students, helping them achieve success. I use past paper questions to ensure pupils are fully prepared for their exams, and I can also provide and evaluate additional questions and materials.
