I graduated from the University of Bristol with a first-class master's degree in Chemistry and a PhD in Synthetic Biology. I have also performed published postgraduate research at the University of Oxford, and postdoctoral research at the University of Bristol where I have supervised undergraduates in their final year research projects.
My teaching philosophy is that the best method to remember knowledge is to understand it, and that by learning strong foundational comprehension and inquiry, students are able to develop a practice of autodidacticism that will serve them well all throughout their academic journey. I believe this creates confident and curious students that will enjoy the process of learning.
In my spare time I enjoy playing football, bouldering, cycling, running, reading, and listening to music.
