My lessons will be tailored to each student's specific needs, based on their personal interests, strengths, and weaknesses. I will work with them to find out which style of learning works best for them - I do not believe in a 'one size fits all approach'. I will use online resources such as shared whiteboards to aid in communication during lessons, to avoid any barriers that may be faced due to being online. I will offer a trial lesson to work out if I am the best tutor for you, and to test out the online platforms to ensure they work for both of us when we start. I welcome feedback from students and parents about what is working well, and what they feel needs to be improved. I understand that maths is not a subject everyone enjoys or finds easy, so I will work hard to make my lessons a relaxing environment, showing them that they can overcome any challenges they face and enabling them to reach their potential. It is important to me to remind students that there are no 'stupid questions' and that they are not 'just bad at maths'; I see it that they just haven't found a way that works for them yet, and that it is my job to find what best suits their needs and style of learning.
I have always had a passion for maths, and achieved a 9 with almost full marks in my GCSE. I will use my knowledge and love for the subject to try and help others to achieve their goals and find confidence in their learning.
