Gemma Balding

My lessons follow UK curriculum, I use up to date, verified and endorsed materials/books for GSCE and A level teaching. My teaching style is engaging, friendly and collaborative and I like to use a range of learning activities, which engage a whole spectrum of ability and learning styles. I use video, audio and text in my lessons with innovative lesson plans that make the student feel confident and at ease with the curriculum. My subject specialities are poetry and plays, both some of the more difficult parts of English curriculum, my passion for these literary disciplines allows students to finally be proficient and engage in a way that works and is meaningful to them. I have experience private tutoring online and I’m about to begin my PGCE Masters in Secondary English Teaching which will give me Qualified Teacher Status and will hone my craft as an English teacher and tutor.
