We all learn in different ways, the first step would be to establish each student's best method to learn and adapt the teaching materials to suit each of my students. I strongly believe it is not all about memorising, if you can thoroughly understand a concept or principle then you are able to apply it to any situation. This is what helps through exams and helps with the transfer from education into a career.
