I have been an IT Trainer since 1998 and have worked across many sectors in Finance, Education, Healthcare, Retail and Construction both Public and Private and Government including the MOD, Home Office and the DBS.
At the moment my main focus is Microsoft 365, Teams, OneDrive and SharePoint User Adoption and Coaching because these topics have been key to many of us since we started working from home on March 2020.
I like to adapt the content of any 1 to 1 session that I deliver to the needs of the student. I like to first of all explain the topic to the student, then demonstrate the topic, then lead the student through an exercise on the topic and finally have the student do an exercise on their own.
As the session progresses each subsequent topic builds upon and makes use of the previous ones and this re-enforces the learning.
I encourage questions all through my sessions and I am always happy to branch off to another relevant topic if required. I also like wrap my real life working experiences around each topic to put them into context.
My sessions are not just about HOW you use the various great applications that Microsoft have given us as part of the Microsoft 365 suite but also WHY you should use them in order to change your existing ways of working and in doing so work smarter and not harder for yourself and also in your collaborations with your fellow colleagues and students.
