I am Garry Howard, a passionate and experienced computing teacher with a deep-rooted love for programming and a dedication to nurturing the next generation of tech-savvy individuals. With a rich background in advanced programming, a thorough understanding of GCSE and A Level curriculum across various exam boards, and a commitment to fostering a dynamic learning environment, I bring a wealth of knowledge and enthusiasm to the classroom.
My journey in the world of programming began as a child with an Amstrad CPC464 as a Christmas present, and since then, I have continuously honed my skills and expertise in a wide array of programming languages, including typescript/JavaScript; Python, SQL/MySQL/No-SQL, VBA, Basic, HTML/CSS. I have supported students creating projects such as AWS web applications that included a piano teaching tool, a few food ordering apps and an app for mental well being , which has given me a well-rounded understanding of the requirements for programming projects which I have excellent results in.

Having taught computing at both GCSE and A Level for over 10 years, I have a comprehensive grasp of the intricacies of the curriculum. I have guided numerous students through their studies, helping them excel in their exams and develop a profound understanding of computing principles. My familiarity with the requirements and expectations of various exam boards, including AQA, OCR, Edexcel, ensures that my students receive tailored guidance and support to succeed in their specific exams.
