My name is Gabriel and I am an experienced Violin Tutor. Aside from performing to live audiences, I have also dedicated the last 7 years to teaching. I currently work as Violin Tutor for Mablois School of Music and Lycaeum Music, giving lessons (lvl.beginner, intermediate and advanced) to groups of students and 1 to 1 private lessons.
My years of education at the Royal Madrid Conservatoire and Trinity Laban Conservatoire of Music and Dance have taught me a wide range of teaching skills that I have learnt from internationally acclaimed musicians. Putting their knowledge into practice in my own classes has provided very good progress in my students.
BIO:
Gabriel began his violin studies at the age of seven at the CIM Padre Antonio Soler (Madrid).
At the age of sixteen, he was introduced to the baroque violin in the University of Salamanca Baroque Courses and since then has combined his studies of modern and baroque violin.
From 2018 until 2022, he studied at the Royal Madrid Conservatoire with Alejandro Saiz (violin) and José Manuel Navarro (baroque violin). During this time, Gabriel joined the Salamanca Baroque Orchestra collaborating with internationally acclaimed musicians such as Julia Doyle, Alfredo Bernardini and Saskia Salembier.
In 2022, Gabriel was awarded the Violet Wright Scholarship (and later the Henry Wood Accommodation Trust Fund) to further his studies at Trinity Laban Conservatoire of Music (London). Here, he is currently studying with Matthew Denton (violin) and Walter Reiter (baroque violin). He is a member of the London-based early music ensemble “Lowe Ensemble” that includes five of his siblings.
Gabriel has received lessons, masterclasses and coaching from John Butt, Raphael Wallfisch, Hiro Kurosaki, Jacques Ogg, Wilbert Hazelzet and Alissa Margulis (during the August Old Ox Swedish Course) among others.
As a soloist, chamber, and orchestra musician, he has performed in prestigious venues such as Cadogan Hall (London), Auditorio Nacional de Música (Madrid), Auditorio del Centro Cultural Castelo Branco (Portugal), Kursaal (San Sebastián), Budapest Kongresszusi Központ (Hungary), Capilla Real de Madrid (Madrid Royal Palace), Ateneo de Madrid, Auditorio Ciudad de León, Teatro Monumental, and Auditorio de Zaragoza.
