My style of teaching is heavily centred around personal engagement with the student, so as a tutor I can remain flexible and accommodating to their personal needs and challenges. As a humanities student one of my biggest strengths is analysis, which I often apply to my lessons to see where their strengths and weaknesses lie. I feel that as a tutor, my biggest aim is not to provide you with the knowledge you need, but the confidence in your abilities and experience applying them that is truly crucial to academics. My experience with children is essential for this, as I have become used to educating children, understanding how to uplift and inspire them to learn all they can. Most of the content of my lessons circulates around specific challenges the student is struggling with and what is the best way to address these issues. Due to my experience in teaching children in a variety of different age groups, I have no set format: I prefer to operate in a structure tailored to the students' needs and allow them to address their shortcomings and remove negativity concerning the subject. I don't hold my students' hands throughout the learning process as I know how beneficial figuring problems out for themselves can be mentally. Nevertheless, I understand how hard the content can be at this age, so my style of teaching is equally supportive of their growth as it is demanding. With me as a tutor, your child will undergo astonishing progress in their chosen subject and won't want anyone else teaching them!
