For whatever age group I am tutoring the lesson plan will differ:

-For GCSE students
I will be using PowerPoint slides specifically curated with GCSE content. However, I will not rely on the PowerPoint to teach, I will just use it as a guide on what I should say/explain next. In my explanations, I will likely be using a whiteboard to explain concepts. The lessons will be very interactive where I will be asking questions on what you have just learnt and how to apply the knowledge to exam-style questions. I will sometimes implement knowledge outside of the GCSE curriculum either for a better understanding of the topic or just to spark interest which is essential for effective study. Before we even go ahead with that I will take time to get to know your learning style better and how I can tailor my lessons to fit that. Sessions may differ each week depending on the priority for you, whether you have mocks coming up (so breadth rather than depth revision sessions as well as exam question practice) or if on a regular day where it is likely to be an in-depth revision session. Or perhaps you would like to review any homework. I will also be providing you with homework, however, this isn't a mandatory task, it will just help with the speed of our sessions and will also just allow me to see exactly where you are at and what I have to go over again and just means that you are getting your moneys worth! I will also give recommendations for chemistry, biology, maths and geography-related articles/documentaries. I hope to create a safe environment of trust

For Anything below GCSE:
I will be working with parents to get a better insight on how the child is doing and what specifically we need to work on. Then I will base my lessons on what the child is finding hard and I will make sure to contain an array of different ways to teach the topic. This way I am able to find out the suited learning style for the child. The lessons will be made by me depending on what the child needs to work on. And I will make sure that I give a chance for the child to try answer the questions themselves and not explicitly show them how to do something. I have all the resources ready. I hope to make the lessons fun and interactive and learn to love the subject as much as I do, as it is when you love the subject that you start to become good at it.
