Freya Wynne Thomas

Hello! My name is Freya. With a passion for education and a background in Biology and Chemistry, I strive to create a supportive and engaging learning environment. I have three years of experience in tutoring students of various ages and skill levels, and I believe that every student has the potential to succeed with the right guidance and lots of encouragement.

My teaching approach is tailored to meet the individual needs of each student. However, I always focus on building confidence in the subject first. I aim to make learning enjoyable and relevant, helping students to not only understand the material but also to develop a love for the subject.

My lessons are very interactive and I aim to help students learn through practice questions tailored to exam board mark schemes. Through this analysis of practice questions, I aim to help students improve their critical thinking skills and foster problem solving skills. In my lessons I focus on topics students find the most challenging, and often prescribe practice sheets for homework between sessions. I help students with exams coming up create realistic revision schedules which we can work through together.

I am currently studying for a Bachelor’s degree in Biochemistry with Molecular Biology and Biotechnology at Bristol University. Having achieved a 7 in IB Biology and a 6 in IB Chemistry, I am confident in my ability to help students prepare for their exams.
