I have worked in mainstream and SEND schools in classes and 1:1 with students and specialise in working with special educational needs, neurodivergences and people who are shy and withdrawn but am just as happy teaching anyone. I teach all sciences to GCSE and specialise in Biology up to A-level, I have a degree in Zoology and have worked in a lab and in nature conservation and have had a lot of practical experience working in the field in a few different countries. I'm also a gamer and artist so if we share interests I'll try to bring aspects of this into my lessons but I'm also happy to learn about your interests to bring it into our lessons, I find everything is easier to remember if you can link it to your interests.
I'm incredibly patient and want you to feel comfortable with me. Any question is a good question and I'm happy to give relevant examples and have deeper discussions/debates about topics as this not only encourages creative thinking but helps you to remember the content.
I will adapt my lessons to what suits the student but I like to use visuals, interactive whiteboards and relatable examples/videos where possible. I'm happy to take things slow and spend time practising difficult topics until you're happy that you understand. If you have topics you want to focus on then I'll structure the lessons around that, and I'll rephrase and try different learning techniques if you struggle. Please don't be afraid to say if something isn't suiting you, I'm very flexible and want you to be in the best possible learning environment.
