I am a Clinical and Cognitive Psychology with Neuroscience graduate looking to teach Psychology to GCSE and A-Level students. Some of the modules I have studied are Psychology Research Methods which includes Statistics and the use of SPSS which is a statistics software used to analyse data when conducting research experiments which are vital skills for a tutor; Clinical and Cognitive Neuroscience, Developmental Psychology, and Social Psychology. My final year dissertation topic was on the origin of expectation signals in Visual perception. My years of learning Psychology have allowed me to delve deeper into the human psyche and apply science and reasoning to present reality. The skills gained through the modules I studied at University include Research Skills, Critical Thinking, Understanding human behaviour and Neuroscientific knowledge.
Learning Psychology has allowed me to understand that individuals acquire, retain and use knowledge in different ways and this has helped me to provide and implement more effective strategies based on the individual needs and learning styles of my students.
Your first lesson will be a small practice quiz which will show me your strengths and targets as well as your individual learning style allowing me to tailor future lessons focusing on specific topics from the curriculum until you are confident answering exam-style questions. Together we can set goals to reach specific targets and grades. I conduct my lessons online via Zoom which is an interactive and easily accessible learning space.
