As warm-up questions for my GCSE Maths students, I use Corbettmaths 5 a day worksheets, followed by Dr Frost questions to consolidate and build on areas of the course the student would like to improve their understanding of. For both GCSE and A-Level Chemistry and Physics students, I utilise Physics & Maths Tutor for key resources to help students with application of their knowledge. For A-Level Maths students, I mostly utilise textbooks with which the students are provided, since they tend to have a surplus of resources, using Physics & Maths Tutor again for further practice.
I found that my GCSE Physics students, whom I tutored for a year, greatly enjoyed working through the Physics & Maths Tutor worksheets and found them to be a very valuable resource to accompany their learning.
I look forward to working with students over the summer to bridge the gaps in their knowledge and to build their confidence in preparation for Year 11 and Year 13. Given that the students will have recently undertaken end of year exams, this provides a platform to build on in the summer; not only in terms of studying, but also in terms of improving exam technique where possible, as this is key to acing Maths and Science exams in particular.
