Hiya, my name is Freya. I have always really enjoyed maths, but am well aware most people do not. Throughout my school life I have been unnoficially tutoring my friends and classmates, trying to get them to understand why I love maths so much. I also spend a lot of time helping my sister with her A-Levels, and her GCSEs before that.
In terms of lesson plans, I can't really say too much. It is very individualised. I try and make the lessons as enjoyable as possible, if we run into a wall, instead of battering at it over and over again, we will work together to carefully dismantle it, then will try and put it back together so we can understand why it was there. This means that, if we run into a similar issue in the future, we know how to procede.
I particularly enjoy tutoring neurodiverse induviduals. I am neurodiverse myself, and appreciate the difficulties faced, not just in the learning itself, but in all the things around it (including working out what the difficulties are). It's not fair that students are left behind, regardless of potential, because they get caught up on hurdles right at the start. There is no use memorising a formula if you can't understand the question.
I am here because I want to become more confident. If you are looking at my profile, you are probably here because you want to improve your maths skills. Let's work together to achieve our goals.
