Knowing how difficult revision can be, I take a relaxed approach to learning to ensure the student is comfortable in not only understanding the subject matter but also comfortable in realising their best abilities and weaker spots.

My lessons will include talking to students about which subject areas they’d like to focus on, making sure any knowledge gaps are filled. I most often use past-paper questions to assess how they’re improving and to help them understand any errors in their working.
Active recall is an amazing way of making sure knowledge sticks, so I personalise my lessons to include revision of any topics I know the student has struggled with in the past.
