I try to make lessons fun and interactive - like I'm having a comprehensive conversation with you, not like I'm just speaking at you.
I usually prepare some practice questions on the topics you'd like to cover, ranging from various difficulty levels, then work through them with you, sometimes leaving you in the deep end to work through it and prevail. The content used in teaching is usually determined by your current learning level (GCSE, KS3, etc).
I use the first lesson to learn more about you and how you learn, then adapt my teaching style to suit you. I usually use pdf's and virtual whiteboards to teach online.
I value your understanding of topics - you knowing how and why things work, rather than the fact that they work. I find that this is more effective I the long run.
