My teaching methods are dynamic and flexible so I can best suit the desires of the student. Whether they're looking for help with exam revision, homework or brushing up on a particular topic I can provide assistance using my specialist knowledge and expertise in maths.

My teaching methods are dynamic and flexible so I can best suit the desires of the student. Whether they're looking for help with exam revision, homework or brushing up on a particular topic I can provide assistance using my specialist knowledge and expertise in maths.

My preferred method for tuition is face to face although I appreciate this is not always feasible and am quite happy to provide online tutoring as well. During in person lessons I can take students through problems, demonstrating correct methods for tackling them and showing how to present working out in order to attain the maximum marks for a given question. Being able to observe how a student solves a problem and offer correctional advice is invaluable as I can quickly identify misconceptions and work with the pupil to get back on the right track.

When tutoring online we may achieve similar results through screen sharing or even holding written work up to the camera, as I have been obliged to do on occasions in the past. Having access to virtual resources is useful as well, although not usually necessary.

I typically do tuition in hour long sessions, matching the standard timings of a classroom. I have found that this is an appropriate amount of time to delve into several questions and discuss the solutions in detail, whilst not being too taxing for the student. I am happy to consider other lengths of sessions if time permits and all parties are willing to persevere with the maths.

Naturally, my goal is to impart as much of my knowledge and exam experience as I can and I am willing and able to adapt my teaching, creating bespoke tutorials for each student. I hope that together we will be able to achieve the best results possible!
