I have informal experience tutoring students of all ages. For me, I believe a mutual approach is the most effective method of attaining a student’s full potential. With that being said, I would firstly discuss your strength in the subject area, identify the weakness and we most definitely tackle this using the best but simplified methods. We would be using each session to focus on a specific area in order to capture more rather than trying to kill so many birds at the same time. Simple language, simple solutions with my student’s best interest is the only way I tutor. Also, I do encourage my students to set realistic goals which we would be using to check our progress after every two weeks.
