I like to work via a problem based learning approach. I feel this is the best way to fully comprehend/understand content and how everything fits together.
I spend the first third of the lesson talking about the theory and what we need to know. The remainder of the lesson is spent putting these Theories into action with a variety of exam style questions, getting you to think like a true A* student...
