I believe in learner-centric teaching that ties learning content to real life application and needs. It is imperative that learning and training be relevant and focused on the learner’s personal needs. Lessons will begin with an activating event or scenario that brings the core points of the lesson to focus. The new learning activity will then focus on questions that guide the learner’s reflection on previous experiences to realize what they already know, then transition into capturing any key points that need to be understood to achieve the learning objective.
Assessment of learning objective achievement will include assessing the level of value the individual has developed for the information’s usefulness and ability to utilize the information presented accurately.
