I am the eldest-of-four, and as such before even starting university I had experience tutoring, helping with homework, or generally explaining difficult and challenging concepts to my younger siblings. At university in Durham, I helped my colleagues from younger years by teaching them a more hollistic picture than what was presented in the lecture, both giving background and explaining the concepts touched upon in more depth. You can expect pretty much the same from me in tutoring! I try to model each lesson to the needs of the particular student, by going over what they learned in class, explaining anything that needs clarification and building and expanding their knowledge of the subjects. I also give a small "deep dive" if the student is interested, giving more insight and knowledge about a specific subject, or group of subjects. At the end of each lesson, I try to have a small informal set of questions to re-enforce the knowledge we gained in the lesson, and also offer some ideas for self-study (think less homework and more "here's a fun YouTube video I found where this detail is explained in great depth by some really smart people").
