I have taught mathematics for children of ages 5-16 during my time at Mathnasium academy, covering topics from the very basic of fundamental maths (addition, subtraction, multiplication), through more complex topics (fractions, percentages and long division), up to more advanced problem solving (using algebra, trigonometry and calculus).

I usually plan my lessons starting with two short warm-up problems:
- the first, re-capping the previous taught session
- the second with an opening run-through example of a problem related to the day's session

Following on from there, the main focus is trying several problems of increasing difficulty relating to a certain topic.

I try make my sessions as interactive as possible, trying to make the learning process as light hearted and fun as possible. This way I believe that the knowledge is retained best, by making the sessions more memorable - it's more fun for everybody as well!
