Francis Jinks

I know that children / people naturally learn through play and have therefore used play - games etc throughout my career. When I taught in Stafford, I managed to help my class to the top of the county in maths SATS rankings. In Burton I also managed to take children from the poorest ward in the county to an Ofsted Outstanding. I have worked with children from many different social, religious and ethnic backgrounds, especially Polish and am proud to say that by working together, they achieved. I believe in the broadest possible range of learning experiences. I was runner up in the national teaching awards for Sports teacher of the year and take reflected pride in having produced a first class cricketer, several professional footballers, International Rounders players, Doctors and most of all, many, many fine adults. I have always loved learning and working with people and would start every learning programme by finding out where you are, what you want and how you learn best and then adapting the curriculum to fit you. That said, it has to be fun first if you are to learn to your fullest potential.
