Hi, my name is Francesca and I am a current Engineering undergraduate at The University of Warwick. I studied A Level Maths, Physics and Chemistry.
I have a huge passion for working with numbers, and I love sharing my knowledge with others.
Overcoming challenges is something I am very experienced with. I enjoy the satisfaction of being able to complete any question, no matter the difficulty. I see the potential in everybody, and I want to help students realise what they are capable of and make them confident enough to smash their exams and reach their goals.
I achieved a Grade 8 in GCSE Mathematics, an A in A Level Mathematics, a Grade 98 in GCSE Combined Science, and an A in A Level Chemistry. Since I am currently in my second year at university studying engineering, I am used to practicing complex maths questions.
I have 2 years of experience tutoring Maths and Sciences in a tuition centre. I tutored students from KS2 up to KS4. I mostly taught GCSE maths as it is what my students needed the most help with. During this, I helped my students go from grade 3/4s up to grade 8/9s. I analysed the current level of each student. Based on this, I gave them topic questions that match their level of expertise. After excelling in all topic questions, I made them do enough past papers until they would get above 80% on average.
I know what it's like to be stuck on a question, feeling inept to solve it and becoming overwhelmed. If you feel embarrassed for struggling with something that is meant to be easy, then this is the right place for you.
I am empathetic and understanding when it comes to students who struggle with concepts, even the simplest ones. I like to be a safe space, help students have a self-esteem in order to be able to tackle any question they see.
