Fran Warburton

I have worked as a tutor for Maths, English and Psychology GCSE and A-Level for the past 8 years alongside teaching full time in a UK secondary school. My values as a teacher are to ensure that every student holds the belief that they can achieve, and I focus on working to support students to enjoy the subjects, as well as achieve, raising confidence and self esteem in all areas.

I'm a qualified life coach and use this in my teaching to support the students in developing their self belief. I enter every lesson having a full belief that the students can achieve, and this is reflected in my teaching style and in the success of my students, having a 100% pass rate at GCSE and A-Level with tutees.

I enjoy working with young people from all backgrounds, and have had extensive experience working with those with neurodiversity and difficulties in the traditional classroom setting, with experience working as a behaviour specialist. I firmly believe that young people need to hold a belief that they can achieve, and this is followed up in their results.

Maths is my favourite subject to teach, as it's a skill that can be developed with practice, and the increase in skills that come from a small number of sessions is incredible! I love working with students to help them realise their ambitions and see that they CAN in fact do Maths, and they aren't just bad at it, they just need a little bit of practice and an explanation in a different way!
