I have 10 years worth of experience in early years. I hold a PGCE with QTS in primary teaching. My lessons are well spaced providing time for scaffolding, discussion and 1:1 assistance. My pupils are active in their learning and are invovled in what they are learning. My lessons promote the following;

Content – Progression in knowledge, skills and understanding related to specific elements of a defined curriculum

Communication – Using language to learn whilst learning to use language
Cognition – Developing thinking skills which link concept formation (abstract and concrete), understanding and language

Culture – Exposure to alternative perspectives and shared understandings, which deepen awareness of otherness and self.

I have been trained at delivering high quality phonics lessons for our young learners.
