My first priority will be to provide a safe and approachable place for students, in order for them to feel comfortable asking questions and receiving help.

I shall strive to offer my own experience of English Literature exams and apply everything I know of the subject when working alongside students to help them improve their English skills. Through studying English Literature at lower and higher education, I’ve found that the best way to approach any struggles has been through deepening one’s understanding of text analysis.

As such, I will be glad to help solve any problems my students address to me with understanding exam material and the content they’ve been given by breaking down the fundamentals of what is expected of them from the exam board.

Although I’ve had limited experience tutoring before, time and patience are key when it comes to helping students with their learning. I am open to teaching exam material from the British Education system, as well as helping English Language learners improve their conversational skills.

For those learning English as a Foreign Language, I can provide the understanding of a native speaker, help with learning grammar and extending one’s vocabulary. When practising language skills during sessions, I can hold informal/formal conversations based on the topic of choice to help students feel more confident with their speaking and comprehension ability.

If students have any specific requests or problems, it is advised that they present these during the one-on-one sessions so that we can work on these during lessons where possible!
