Every student is unique, and so are their learning needs. That’s why my GCSE and A-Level English lessons are flexible, offering a variety of focuses to suit your goals and interests.

For GCSE students, we focus on mastering the fundamentals of literary analysis by exploring key texts such as Macbeth, or An Inspector Callas. Together, we’ll break down exam-style questions, craft structured and persuasive essays, and develop strategies for tackling unseen texts with clarity and confidence.

As for English language, we’ll focus on building the essential skills to analyze, interpret, and create texts with ease. We’ll also work on creative writing, developing vivid descriptions, compelling narratives, and persuasive arguments. So, whether you’re aiming to improve your comprehension, refine your writing style, or boost your exam technique, our sessions will be tailored to help you excel in every aspect of the course.

At A-Level, lessons offer a deeper dive into critical thinking and advanced analysis. We might explore the intricate themes of texts like The Great Gatsby or Wuthering Heights, compare poetry across time periods, or examine how context shapes a reader’s interpretation. Emphasis is placed on developing nuanced arguments, mastering essay structures, and practicing past papers to ensure you’re ready for any question the exam throws your way.
