Hi! I’m originally from Germany and have been studying in the UK for nearly 8 years. Throughout my academic journey, I’ve experienced the challenges of learning in a second language, especially in an academic environment where understanding and communicating in English is crucial. I remember the feeling of falling behind in discussions or struggling with academic texts, and I know how frustrating that can be. This personal experience is what motivates me to become an EAL (English as an Additional Language) tutor.
Having navigated these challenges myself, I want to help others who might feel the same way. I believe that learning English as an additional language shouldn’t be a barrier to academic success. As a tutor, my approach is centred around tailoring lessons to meet your specific needs, whether it’s improving academic writing, enhancing reading comprehension, building speaking confidence, or understanding complex terminology. Everyone learns at their own pace, and I aim to provide a supportive, patient, and flexible learning environment.
What sets my tutoring apart is my personal insight into what it’s like to adapt to a new language in a demanding academic setting. I focus on practical strategies that helped me improve my own English skills and succeed in my studies. My goal is to help you feel more confident and capable, whether you need help with specific assignments, preparing for exams, or simply improving your overall communication.
I’m excited to work with you and help you unlock your full potential by turning English from an obstacle into a powerful tool for success.
