This is where schools often struggle because of the amount of students and varying learning styles present. It can be frustrating to be in a class where you feel either below or above the average - and subsequently your understanding and grades can suffer because a teacher has had to modify the content for others to understand.
Conversely, this is why tutoring can be the perfect addition to any student’s journey, as it gives the opportunity for one-on-one attention and full focus in a way that works best for that specific student.
This is especially true when learning languages as well as when learning how to revise and succeed with exams. I specialise in tutoring languages (English as a Second Language; French; Latin) and understand the difficulties that come with the subject and how to overcome them. Tutoring allows a fully individualised experience that goes further than just consolidating what has already been learnt, it can really help put into practice and to increase the confidence and success rate of students.
I was lucky enough to benefit from 1-1 tutoring at university for Latin and it enabled me to achieve a First-class degree while juggling complicated subjects and extracurriculars. The subjects I focus on (English, French, Latin, History, Classics, Classical Civilisation) do require extra understanding and I am excited to help others in their learning journeys.
