My lessons offer an engaging, bespoke path to success for your child in STEM. Upon matching with me, I will offer an initial meeting to understand the needs and goals of a tuition programme. This allows me to target my teaching directly to the pupil's needs, allowing them to reach their fullest potential. Lessons themselves will focus on both content and exam technique, as these two elements are both crucial. I employ scientifically backed techniques such as active recall and use of past papers to challenge your child, reinforce their strengths and provide opportunities for growth.

In addition to this, I feel that establishing a connection with the pupil is paramount to success, as they are more likely to retain key information in an environment where they feel valued, supported and successful. A standard session would therefore likely see a few minutes relaxing into the work before the recall exercises, delivery of content and application through exam-style techniques begins.

This three-pronged approach has been tested in my previous experience as a paid tutor, and in my volunteer work helping vulnerable children learn to read. Delivering these elements as someone with recent, lived experience of the examination process strengthens my tutoring with a unique perspective that students find aspirational, as they can see themselves in my shoes. I have seen success in these methods both with my tutees and myself. At GCSE I achieved 10 Grade 9s, and am predicted 4 A*s at A-Level.
