I have studied pedagogy which has thought me how to approach children, from the youngest age, and how to develop the cognitive and emotional abilities that contribute to the growth of the child. Referring to older students, pedagogy, teaches us how to approach and explain in the right way, issues that they could be having when learning new skills. For instance, when working as a teacher in Italy for summer courses, I helped the students learn to persevere even when the given tasks are challenging, in order to build resilience for later educational efforts; as well as made sure that the feedback that was given to the students was constructive and emphasised on learning form mistakes to establish a solid foundation for progress.
In my opinion, a teacher should also be a role model to follow for the students, wherefore, when working with students I try to establish and enforce rules of positive behaviour to maintain positive classrooms environments and to drive social development, using encouraging efforts through affirmations statements and praising accomplishments.
