My aim as a tutor is to provide explicit instruction on grammar, vocabulary, and pronunciation. As someone who struggled with staying concentrated whilst studying, I learned and devised ways to keep engagement and productivity at a high level. This is why providing enjoyable, interactive lessons is so important to me. My classes will largely involve conversational practice to allow students to practice speaking and listening skills in a relaxed and informal setting. Secondly I intend to incorporate task-based learning, where students will complete tasks that require them to use English in a meaningful way. The goal with my classes is for my students to feel confident in their English language capabilities across all environments including socially, educationally and for work purposes.
