I have been tutoring remotely for three years now mostly providing help with Chemistry, Physics, and biology at a GCSE level. Most of my students have been doing AQA exams so I am most comfortable teaching this content, however, I am also very familiar with the content from the Edexcel exam board.

I typically use Zoom as an online platform for my lessons but I am open to using other websites such as Teams or Google Meet. My lessons are one hour long and will involve a range of different activities tailored to the requirements of the student. I produce all of the content used within the lessons and upload it to a shared Google doc as I teach. This means that the student has full access to the notes after our lesson is over. To better consolidate the theoretical material I also work through exercises with the student; typically doing a few examples with them before I let them try a few on their own.

I welcome any questions throughout the lesson and encourage my students to ask for help on anything they may be stuck on or they don't understand. I am very flexible with the content of my lessons and welcome any suggestions on future topics that should be covered. I also work through relevant past paper questions with them and am happy to provide them with help on specific homework tasks if that is what they require. If asked I can also provide them with extra material/exercises to practise in their own time.
