Hi. I had been a primary teacher for more than 30 years, being in a promoted post for the last 20 years. I retired a couple of years ago to spend more time with my family on our farm but sorely missed the contact with children. So, tutoring became the ideal option. I have been tutoring primary aged pupils for 3 years now and thoroughly enjoy working with those who need a little support to reach their potential. I prefer to work online making it more comfortable for pupils to engage from their own homes. No travelling required or ridiculous expenses.
My lessons are tailored to meet the specific needs of the individuals. They are interactive and include a variety of activities to meet their learning outcomes. I like to make my sessions fun and engaging for the pupils whilst growing self esteem and confidence. It is so important to get to know the child before trying to engage in learning. I take an active interest in them and their family.
