I like to adapt my lesson depending on the needs of each pupil.
However, I tend to focus on the following:
1) The first step is ensuring that pupils can access the content and will ensure that all content is fully understand through recapping
2) Ensuring content is in the long-term memory through recapping content by quizzes, games (whatever works for the individual!)
3) Applying knowledge and content to exams. Exams can incredibly hard for pupils to access and understand. I take a thorough approach to introducing exam structure, command words, and showing mark schemes to ensure that pupils are completely sure what is being asked of them.
4) I often model how best to answer exam questions so pupils can model my thinking and approach in their own exams
4) I then tend to walk through exam marking and give detailed feedback about how the answer can be improved to ensure full marks.
All of this can be adapted to coursework, in the case of A-level this is the most helpful.
