Having been a Cambridge International School teacher, I want to bring a world of experience to our lessons. And what I mean by that is perspective. I believe that looking at every possible angle of a problem enables you to create efficient solutions and more importantly, achieve a more complete understanding of a given topic. I have worked with many students and witnessed many different minds at work.
When I teach Computer Science, I try to open your mind and go on a journey with you, consider perspectives, listening and understanding your imagination, your knowledge and views of a concept. For if a teacher does not understand the inner workings of a student's reasoning, they can not efficiently translate their own knowledge to their learner.
All my life I have been a firm believer that anyone can learn anything as long as they are given the opportunity. But as with anything, learning is a two way street, as no matter how good a teacher, the student needs the desire to learn. And because most things in life reciprocate, desire can only be found where there is a nurturing environment. For that, I strive to have great relationships with my students, where honesty, respect and friendship are at the forefront.
Learning is as much of a game as any other. If the game is boring you want to switch it up or stop playing altogether. Tragic is the day that learning becomes just as dull and the fun of exploring is extinguished. But worry not, I will do my best to spark that flame back up! And while I can not to guarantee that I will change your life, I say it is definitely worth a shot!
