Dear Sir, Madam,
For 16 years, I have been a healthcare assistant for elderly people in France as a voluntary work and 6 years in the United Kingdom. You oversee somebody's life. You must prepare every activity from the wake to the bedtime. You become the arms, the legs, and the voice of somebody else. You are the link between the client and the rest of the world. Now, I have more empathy. While working for events in London, I have been asked to care about VIP Clients at the function room. I had to learn, for the first time in my life, how to set 20 tables in a French Style in 10 minutes. I succeeded because I treated them the way I would like to be welcomed.
As a customer service advisor, I support the customer in their struggle. I must be prepared to console, educate, instruct, assist, inform, guide, and hand hold complete strangers while they insult, yell, scream and argue with you. If you are lucky, the customer on the other end of the phone will treat you like a person and be civil to you. Chances are, they will not. I find fulfilment in rescuing people in their moment of frustration, aggravation, or need. I learned to shield myself with emotional armour, so when the insults or emotional outbursts are flung threw the phone like fiery arrows, I do not flinch, but remain calm and level-headed, and stay focused on the mission... to see this customer through the problem until it is resolved, despite their opposition or cooperation in this process.
As an executive export assistant, I support executive leaders with day-to-day administration as well as organising various regular board and committee meetings. I have experience in building relationships at all levels of the organisation and must show discretion and tact when dealing with matters of a confidential nature. I am unflappable, very organised, and able to stay on top of a busy and varied workload where it is crucial to manage the Chief Executive’s time and activities skilfully and confidentially. I have a high level of communication skills in French and in English with a can-do attitude. I can use my initiative to proactively drive deadlines and forward plans ensuring varied tasks are done.
Thank you for your time. I look forward talking to you in more details about my experience.
Kind regards.
