My classes are primarily fun and this I believe is one of the most funamental things in learning English, especially from an adult´s point of view. I always try to ensure that student talk time is longer and more apparent than the teacher, because in the end, you are the learner, and speaking is an intrinsic element to acquiring any language. Don´t be shy and realize that arming yourself with this great language has never been easier with the copious amount of material there is on the internet at present. Personally I prefer books, but then again I am an older tutor with a likening for how things were in the past.
As I have said manys times before, grammar is king and without it you can lose your base and this is something you need going forward on your journey, a foundation (metaphorically) on which to build on. The verb system in English is vast and there are a host of tenses (17) which must be known and recognized - notwithstanding the fact that we hardly use about ten of them.
However, I excel at tutoring grammar and that should be a relief for any student because I do appreciate most find it boring and challenging. So rest assured, I can relieve you of that stress and things will go smoothly from there. Be confident, enjoy the ride, and be patient, it is the journey that should be fun, and not the destination. You are the person in charge and whatever you want to do or not is entirely up to you.
