About me

I never imagined I’d go from working in the coal mining industry to teaching kids how to code, but here I am—and I love every second of it. With over 15 years in mining engineering, I decided to take a different path, one that aligns with my passion for education and technology. I never imagined I’d go from working in the coal mining industry to teaching kids how to code, but here I am—and I love every second of it. With over 15 years in mining engineering, I decided to take a different path, one that aligns with my passion for education and technology. Now, as an ICT teacher for elementary school students, I focus on making coding fun, accessible, and meaningful for young learners.

I introduce my students to platforms like MIT Scratch, MIT App Inventor, and Python, ensuring they don’t just memorize code but truly understand how to create with it. Seeing their excitement when they build their own games or interactive projects is what keeps me motivated. I also teach them how to design websites using Google Sites and Canva, helping them develop real-world digital skills from an early age.

Beyond coding, I believe cybersecurity is just as important. That’s why I’ve created a structured program to teach kids about online safety through hands-on projects—because being a responsible digital citizen starts young.

My goal is bigger than just my classroom. I want to build a coding academy where kids aged 6-18 can explore programming in a creative and supportive environment. Coding isn’t just about computers—it’s about problem-solving, creativity, and preparing for the future. If I can help shape that future for my students, then I know I’m on the right path.
