As a veteran in the teaching field, I have observed that the best approaches to adopt and impart knowledge should be student-centred such as collaborative and cooperative learning, pair work and individual tasks paired with teacher exposition. The teacher should be there to facilitate learning by assigning individual, pair and group tasks to learners for presentations. The teacher should engage all students in active learning at the expense of passive learning all the time. Such approaches promote self confidence and self reliance among students so that they are able to define their own destiny without overdependence on the teacher.
