The Tutor: Studying towards BSc Computer Science at QMUL. AAA in Computer Science, Mathematics, Psychology at Withington Girls’ School. Grade 9s across the board at Altrincham Grammar School for Girls. IDTA Level 3 Diploma and 2 years experience with young children (aged 2-16) in performance arts (dance).
Taster Sessions: Lessons are tailored to the student: taster sessions are encouraged - this allows a rapport to be built and for the tutor to understand your preferences to format sessions. Guardians are welcome to sit in on lessons.
Format: Sessions may be student-led (they may send any questions or topics they want to work on each week) or tutor-led, and can be switched between the two. The tutor shall consult with the tutee and guardian(s) on how these sessions are formatted and, for example, whether it would be beneficial to provide exercise questions to be completed outside of the tuition slots.
Length: Tuition slots are generally half an hour or an hour long, depending on the tutee’s needs. These are open to discussion with the tutee and guardian (who may better know the tutee’s abilities).
Session Levels: The tutor will only teach from KS0 up to GCSE level in all subjects. This is to ensure the quality of lessons are up-to-par: the tutor shall not provide lessons in levels they are not confident they can ensure the tutee’s best improvement in. The tutor specialises in teaching 11+, Mathematics, Computer Science, all Sciences, and Mandarin Chinese, but is also qualified in English (language and literature), Psychology. Please contact the tutor in advance for specific enquiries.
