I have helped in tutoring my siblings and other classmates with math. I would first start with a test to see where the child's strengths and weaknesses are, then based on that I will start lessons based on the child's weaknesses. I will first go over key information, then make sure the child understand before introducing practice questions, we will go over practice questions until they get a hand of the topic then dive into exam questions so they can see how they will be tested in a real exam. Once they get a hand of it we will move on with a new topic. I will regularly go come back to the topic we have gone over to keep it fresh in their minds, and do regular tests to make sure they are understanding. I can also help with some school work they did not particularly understand. My focus will be helping the child turning their struggles into strengths so they can improve overall. For GCSE I will be using the Pearson Edexcel specification as my main guide as that is the exam board I used in GCSE, although I can always adapt to other exam boards if needed. I can help both foundation and higher students. I want the students to be as comfortable as possible as that will allow them to better take the info in and remember it, so I will go at their pace for them to understand the best that they can. I hope this helps you.
