I start off all my lessons by asking students to write down a list of topics/ areas within their learning that they have struggled with and found very challenging, this way, I know what approach to take and can prioritise improving students weak points. I then introduce the learning of the day very clearly and check if the student understands so far. I always give examples to students before start and pause at times within the lesson to see how well they apply feedback and learning. I check whether student has shown independent improvement and work to a good standard at the end of the lesson and give them homework to help consolidate and strengthen their understanding of the lesson.
