My sessions include working closely with the syllabus' of the required subject in order to learn content, as well preparing students for exams. I can provide additional insight into the UCAS process and applying to University. I can also teach at both primary and KS3 level.
Sessions will involve covering topics the student is working on in school, particularly focusing on the areas where the student may be struggling. We fill focus not only on learning the content, but ensuring exam techniques are covered. The student will attempt exam style questions which will be marked and they will receive feedback which will be specific to areas they need to improve on. They may also bring subject related work from school they are struggling on to the sessions for any additional help
The pace of the sessions will be determined by how fast the student is picking up content to ensure content is not rushed and covered thoroughly. Furthermore, the way the content is taught will be tailored to the students learning abilities.
I am enthusiastic and passionate about helping other people learn and have previously tutored GCSE level whilst still in school. I have additionally volunteered with secondary school children before, allowing me an insight into their behaviours and the best ways to communicate with them. My patience, accompanied with my previous experience as a mentor student myself allow me to provide the most efficient methods that allow my students to succeed. I am available to teach during the week (evenings) as well as weekends.
