I am a native English speaker born and brought up within the UK, London. I have been teaching adults (foreigners) on how to speak, write, pronounce, improve accents for many years now. Some students only want to have a chat so I may point out their mistakes whilst they speak and that’s ok! It improves an individual’s ability to converse massively, and in confidence. I use a friendly and professional approach.
When it come to little ones, I have my own children ages 4 and 6, and I have participated in classrooms within their school teachings. Having admiration for teaching the English language, I have willingly provided support to individuals with learning difficulties, or to improve/boost their confidence. Communication skills and speech development is vital in this day and age, I have worked for very large corporates and organisations that have required clear speech and professional tone skills, something I nurtured into over time.
I have helped in the following: - Pronouncing syllables - Word stress rules - Play word stress rule games (more fun way to learn) using a dictionary - Play other games using picture cards, often used to say the word I.e and animal and then to describe it, again to assess speech and grammar - Grammar; focusing on the order of words and sentence structure - Correcting letter confusion; pronouncing letters correctly - Correcting letter omissions - It is also important to set goals and praise an individual for their efforts!
I would love to hear from you and see what your goals are, we can speak about ways to improve and which methods can be used to help you on your English journey, at your own pace….
Confucius the philosopher once said: “It doesn’t matter how slowly you go as long as you do not stop”.
