I teach my lessons using an iPad, Apple Pencil and Macbook. We would start the lesson on Teams, and I will screenshare my iPad so that you can see me writing on their as you would on a book or whiteboard.

We will have a specific topic to go over during the lesson. I begin by teaching the fundamentals first and giving examples - making them as easy to understand as possible using real life examples and scenarios which you could relate to. Following this we would attempt a few questions together to build your confidence in answering any questions on the topic. With this gradual approach, once I can see that you are competent enough to answer the question without my help, I would give you a few more questions to do - at this stage, you would know exactly what to do without anyones help. This is when you have the knowledge to answer any exam paper questions.

Following this, I would pick some higher level questions, i.e., level 8 and 9 where you should be aiming to be - again if any help is needed, I will give hints and help - otherwise the aim is for you to answer the exam paper questions and get comfortable with understanding them and getting them correct.

As you can see, going through this cycle for each topic that you find difficult will give you all the knowledge you need to tackle any questions from those respective topics. This approach has always worked for all the students that I have taught and when quizzed or tested, they are able to hit those 85% and higher marks.

Hope that gives you an insight of how the lesson would be. To reiterate, I like to avoid being a strict or silent tutor - I believe the best learning environment is created when the student is comfortable to ask questions and not be afraid to make mistakes.
