My lessons start with introductions to topics with powerpoint with diagrams and definitions sourced from the PMT website and videos explaining the content topic by topic sourced from PMT.
After every 10 minutes of explain the topic I will ask my students short 1 to 2 mark questions on what they just learn't.
Towards the end of each session I will give them a timed 4 to 5 mark question on the given topic.
Depending on their overall score I will RAG rate there progress based on how well they understand the topic and how well they answer the questions.
I will also ask how confident students are before and after sessions to check if their confidence levels correlate with their scores.
If they have a Green on their RAG rating in every topic, I will go through exam questions and markschemes for the whole session, to get them to write answers in the exam with the most efficiency and speed without feeling like panicking when recalling knowledge from different topics for a single question.
The types of questions I ask during the will vary between calculation and written questions depending on the topic.
I will show tricks and tips to answer questions along with their markschemes if I source them from specimen papers and past papers for Physics.
I will ask what level the student is working at and based my lessons around what examination they will be taking.
Also if they are in foundation for triple or combined and they have mostly Greens on their RAG ratings I will encourage them to ask their schools if they can be moved to higher tiers if they get a grade 5 in foundation so, I can teach them a deeper understanding in physics and help them achieve a better grade that they could potentially gain.
