I am a qualified teacher with 6 years of experience in teaching students ranging from the ages of 3–18-year-olds. I have taught students both in classrooms and on virtual sessions on the topics of blogging and the English Language. I followed my passion for language by completing my Bachelor of Arts degree in Creative Writing and Journalism. In my time, I have worked in Public Relations, undertaking vital communication activities For Microsoft and the navigation application, Waze which was acquired by Google in 2013.
I love grammar and I enjoy teaching my students how to produce work that they are proud of. I encourage my students to let me know what they need assistance with, whether it's reading, comprehension or knowing the difference when it comes to homophones (a technical term I have great fun with).
As an active listener on my lessons, I want my students to feel comfortable telling me how I can help them to in the way that best suits their learning style so that the individual needs of students are met. My online lessons are student-focused, designed to be all about the learner as I produce lesson plans based off a consultation on our first lesson.
In addition, given my experience in working with various age groups, I find it easy to interact with students of all ages and parents alike. I foster strong professional relationships that encourage appropriate open lines of communication. I look forward to engaging with my future students and assisting in their excellence!
